IMP, Inc. Receives Patent Approval for DeMayo Hip Positioner

PLAINVILLE, CT - July, 2004 - Innovative Medical Products, Inc. (IMP), a privately held medical device company founded in 1983, announced that it had received patent approval for its DeMayo Hip Positioner. Initall developed in conjunction with Edward DeMayo, MD, of San Francisco, CA, it was first sold commercially in 2001.

The product provides simple, adjustable, lateral decubitus positioning for hip surgery. It was designed to support large or obese patients with relative ease. The DeMayo Hip Positioner allows for a consistant approach to surgery. It is nurse-friendly - patient lifting during positioning is eliminated.
